The
Missouri Small Business Development Centers
provide counseling in such areas as business
plan development, financial management, market
feasibility, international trade, franchising
and licensing, inventory, marketing and more.
Training programs are offered throughout the
year.
Training program topics
include accounting, marketing, getting started
in business, taxes, financial analysis, cash
flow analysis, computer software packages,
customer service and business plans. Information
and technology resources include computerized
patent, trademark and copyright searches;
computerized exporting leads; product design,
testing and quality control; manufacturing
studies; and plant layout.
Each year, the MO SBDC network
counsels more than 3,000 clients. Most services
are offered at no charge to clients. SBDC’s
serve manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers,
service businesses, inventors, construction, and
agriculture.
The St. Joseph Small Business
Development Center is located in the St. Joseph
Area Chamber of Commerce building to assist
business start-ups and existing businesses. To
