There’s a lot going on in St. Joseph area. Check out the community calendar to see what’s happening in this great place many call home, or submit your event to be added to the calendar.

Increase Your Visibility by Attending These Chamber Events & Activities:

  • ANNUAL BANQUET The Chamber’s new year begins in January with the gala Annual Banquet. Retiring officers are honored, new leaders introduced and food and fun is enjoyed by all. $40 per person, includes dinner, cash bar.

  • LUNCH & LEARN SEMINAR These box lunch seminars, held the second Tuesday of the month, focus on personal and professional development for members of the business community. $10, includes lunch.

  • PUBLIC AFFAIRS COFFEE Hosted by the Government Relations Committee, Public Affairs Coffees feature issues, questions, and responses involving social, economic, governmental, legislative and corporate activities that are of concern to members. Held the third Friday of January, April, June and September. $5, includes continental breakfast.

  • MEMBER RECEPTION Meet and greet Chamber members, staff and the Board of Directors at the Holiday Party to be held Thursday, December 13th, 2007. Sample "Chamber Tastes" provided by member restaurants, caterers and beverage distributors. Free, includes appetizers and beverages.

  • CHAIRMAN’S BREAKFAST General membership breakfasts are held in the spring and fall to update members and showcase recognized speakers. $20, includes breakfast buffet.

  • PARTIES ON THE PARKWAY This series of after-work community events features live music, food, drinks, and prizes. They are held the second Thursday of the month, 5-8 p.m., beginning in May and running through September, at various locations along St. Joseph’s one-of-a-kind Parkway System. Free admission, cash bar.

  • BUSINESS AFTER HOURS Networking events are held the third Tuesday of each month at a member’s place of business from 5-7 p.m.. $2, includes appetizers, cash bar.

  • THE CHAMBER CLASSIC The hottest golf outing around is annually sponsored by the Chamber on the third Wednesday of June. Members and their guests enjoy a day of fun and camaraderie at Fairview Golf Course. $80 per player, includes lunch.

  • NEW EXECUTIVES LUNCHEON Good things begin in St. Joseph each September when the Chamber welcomes and introduces new business leaders to the community. $20, includes lunch.

  • SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT This event is held annually and focuses on the growth and success of small business.

  • BUSINESS SEMINAR Business seminars are held each year to inform and educate members of current business topics.

  • BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY TRADESHOW Feature your products and services with a booth at the this business-to-business tradeshow that provides you the opportunity to meet, show and sell to key buyers and executives. Exhibitor Fees: $300-$700.

  • TASTE OF ST. JOSEPH The Taste of St. Joseph is an exciting complement to the Business & Technology Trradeshow. The food festival features music, give-aways, networking and fun! Restaurants, caterers, and food/beverage providers are invited to supply and distribute samples to attendees. Vendor Fee: $40.

  • PRIMETIME! SHOWCASE New members get the opportunity to display their products and services with a free tabletop display at the Business & Technology Tradeshow. Free for new members.

  • RIBBON CUTTING & AWARD CEREMONIES Ribbon cutting ceremonies are provided by the Chamber Diplomats for new, expanded or relocated businesses. Ceremonies are scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Hosts should provide refreshments, tours, displays and a brief presentation. Photos are posted on the Chamber’s web site.

  • BUSINESS AFTER HOURS Business After Hours take place from 5-7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month, except December. Hosts provide a cash bar, appetizers and door prize. Facilities must be large enough to accommodate 75-100 persons.

  • CHAMBER TASTES Chamber Tastes promote member restaurants, caterers, and food/beverage providers. Participants provide samples at Member Receptions and receive recognition in Connections, promotion in the invitation, and the opportunity to distribute cards, brochures and menus at the event.

  • EXPERIENCE ST. JOSEPH Experience St. Joseph is a five-session welcome and orientation program for new resident executives and their spouses. The program runs annually from September - November. $250 registration.

  • WASHINGTON D.C. FLY-IN A delegation of local business and community leaders annually visit the nation’s capitol as part of the Chamber’s D.C. Fly-In. While in D.C., the delegation meets with members of Congress, U.S. Senators, legislative staff and U.S. Chamber officials. The Fly-In is held each Spring. $1,000 registration.

  • COMMUNITY EXCHANGE Visiting other places gives us a fresh look at our own community and is the premise behind the annual Community Exchange program. The exchange provides a group of community leaders the opportunity to visit a similar community to learn about initiatives and strategies that could potentially be adapted in St. Joseph. $500-$800 registration.

  • GREAT NORTHWEST MISSOURI DAY AT THE CAPITOL This event serves as an important public relations effort on behalf of St. Joseph and the entire Northwest Missouri region. Join with local residents, officials and business leaders as they meet and mingle with our state legislators. $40, includes lunch and dinner.
