Gov. Nixon hears directly from local business leaders

Gov. Jay Nixon in September 2009 brought his Show-Me Business Tour to Northwest Missouri, where he met with representatives of several local employers to discuss strategies to create jobs and move the state's economy forward.

The roundtable discussion followed a tour of Nestle Purina's production and warehousing operations, during which Mr. Nixon learned about the company's product lines and business practices.

The Government Relations Division tries to keep St. Joseph's needs and priorities in the forefront of legislators' thoughts.
