Get a First Hand-Look 

Gain in-depth knowledge of St. Joseph, see our government in-action and learn strategies for success from other communities by participating in these Chamber programs.

Experience St. Joseph
Experience St. Joseph is a five-session welcome and orientation program for new resident executives and their spouses. The program runs annually from September - November. $250 registration.

Washington DC Fly-In
A delegation of local business and community leaders annually visit the nation's capitol as part of the Chamber’s Washington D.C. Fly-In. While in Washington D.C., the delegation meets with members of Congress, U.S. Senators, legislative staff and community lobbyists. The Fly-In is held in the Spring. $1,000 registration.

Community Exchange
Sometimes visiting other places gives us a fresh look at our own community. That is the premise behind the Chamber’s Community Exchange program. The exchange provides a group of community leaders the opportunity to visit a similar community to learn about initiatives and strategies that could potentially be adapted in St. Joseph. $500-$800 registration.

Public Service Candidate School
Held in the fall prior to a local election, Public Service Candidate School provides an opportunity for participants to be introduced to, and gain a working knowledge of, the local political process.

Great Northwest Day At The Capitol
This event serves as an important public relations effort on behalf of St. Joseph and the entire Northwest Missouri region. Join with local residents, officials & business leaders as they meet & mingle with our state legislators. Click here for more information.
