An annual trip to Washington
D.C. has proven profitable for St. Joseph over the years.
The St. Joseph Community Alliance coordinates the yearly trek to the
nation’s capital so St. Joseph’s leaders can speak with a united voice
to the region’s top policymakers.
This year on March 17 and 18, 22 business and community leaders met
individually with Sen. Christopher S. “Kit” Bond, Sen. Claire McCaskill
and Rep. Sam Graves in Washington.
"The Washington D.C. Fly-In continues to promote our community's
most important needs," said Steve Johnston, Director of the St.
Joseph Community Alliance. "Meeting one-on-one with Senator Bond,
Senator McCaskill and Congressman Graves provides a unique opportunity
to address our concerns to best move St. Joseph forward."
